Objective: Tu study of vegetative disorders in Parkinson`s disease with Covid-19

Background: The clinical course of Parkinson’s disease (PD) in patients with Covid-19 is unique, and autonomic disorders, which are non-motor symptoms, are of particular importance.

Method: Characteristics of autonomic disturbances in PD were compared in patients with and without Covid-19. Of the total examined patients, 63 were men (50.8%) and 61 were women (49.2%). The age of the patients was 57.2±8.3 years. The average duration of the disease was 5.7±3.5 years. Vegetative disorders are characterized by the Non-Motor Symptoms Scale (NMSS) and using the O.S. Levine scale.

Results: According to the obtained results, we can see that PD patients with Covid-19 have a differential difference due to the observation of cardiovascular disorders, 17.5±1.32 points and 12.8±1.22 points. Gastrointestinal disorders did not have a significant difference, 1.7±1.4 points and 1.5±0.9 points in group 2 patients. Urinary system disorders were differentially different, 6.8±0.91 and 4.5±0.75 points in group 2. Disturbances of thermoregulation also differed, 1.41±0.5 and 0.91±0.4 points in group 2. Orthostatic hypotension was examined using the Shellong method, and the mean score of patients in group 1 was 4.7±1.2, while the mean score in group 2 was 3.1±1.2, with a statistically significant difference of r≤0.05.

Conclusion: In patients with Parkinson’s disease who underwent Covid-19, the observation of some components of cardiovascular disorders, urinary disorders, thermoregulatory disorders, and partial gastrointestinal tract disorders was significantly different.
